Downstairs painting.

Haven't been getting much done lately. Ive been working in a friends daycare, I havent had much time(Which I dont think was the best idea because Kirsten is starting to get a runny nose and im hoping isnt getting sick right when baby is due). However, I think Ive done plenty of stuff this month. I have 3 days left. I think Ill spend it tidying up and resting. I know I said I would post photos of the paint job I did earlier this month, so here they are.

5 more days until Mikelle is here!

This week hasnt been very eventful. Most everything has already been done in preparation for the baby. However I did manage to get all my non pregnancy clothes out and organized our closet, as well as under all the sinks, and a few other smaller tasks like that. Mostly I have just been trying to KEEP the house clean with Kirsten and Dustin.

I made some new kind of hair bows for Kirsten and Mikelle.

Kirsten thinks the new carts at Fred Meyer are pretty cool

I helped Kirsten make some cookies and valentines for her nursery class friends. We delivered them today since we wont be able to do it closer to Valentine's Day with the new baby. Kirsten thought it was pretty cool. Daddy pouted about giving the cookies away and didnt want to share tho lol.

Tasting her yummy creation

Tomorrow we will repaint Kirsten's toenails Pink to celebrate her becoming a big sister soon!

Its Saturday night and the week is over

Yesterday I put moose in Kirstens hair and it went all curly! So cute. Plus it helps to hide the mullet. I dont want to talk about it. anyways here she is with curly hair...

Kirsten and I made a countdown chain. It says How many more days till Im a BIG SISTER!

This week I have been sewing a ton! Love it! I managed to sew 2 aprons for Kirsten (feeling guilty for all the stuff I've been doing for Mikelle) and 19 burp clothes for Mikelle! All with patterns I created myself.

The aprons. I tried two different designs just to spice it up a bit. Kirsten is going to be helping mommy bake a lot now. Im kinda embarrassed for how long it took me to make them because I was scared of making the super easy pattern. I got 2 12x12 cardstalk papers and taped it together so it was long enough. I got one of her dresses, guessed about where to draw the outline and rounded the edges with a cup. Then folded it in half to make sure both sides of the pattern we even.

I had a bunch of burp clothes I used for Kirsten. However, they were flannel and I didn't like how they looked after lots of washing. So I tried some terry cloth(towel like material) on one side for some of the burp clothes.

And some white soft stuff. (Dont look closely at the sewing job. Im still new to this. I just got my sewing machine for Christmas)

I also made a ton of this style last week. Butterfly flannel on 1 side and soft dots on the other.

12 more days!

Stuck at home

Today daddy took the car to work. Supposedly to fill it with gas, but I think it was so we wouldn't go shopping. Anyways,Kirsten and I had a stay at home mommy and me day. It took a while to find things to do. We had a play date cancellation so there were definitely some bored times but we tried to make the best of it.

We played with blocks and worked on our colors. Apparently all colors are called "ya"

We played other games

read some books. She loves anything Puppies and kitties

and she even got to help me make brownies

Over all I think it was a successful day. I just wish I had more energy to do more with her.

Getting things ready for baby.

So I have 23 days left until Mikelle arrives(hopefully less) What am I doing? well these are some of the things Ive been working on this week. Im going to put the car seat in the car tomorrow. I am still working on the dining room downstairs. I gave in and got a table, thanks grandma for letting us have your old one, so now I just need to find the perfect tablecloth for it and get Dustin to put up my big pretty mirror! I will post all the downstairs photos of my painting job, decor, and dining area when I finish!(hopefully this weekend) I am trying to finish the girls room by this weekend also. I am noticing that I get a lot more accomplished when Im pregnant.

Blog effort #2 Summary of us.

I figure if ur here on here u know me. I am a wife and a mother of soon to be 2 beautiful little daughters! Mikelle is Due in less than a month and Kirsten will be 2 in March. I just finished doing in home childcare from my home and I must say it is absolutely lovely not to have boogies on my walls and spit painted windows :)

So what have I been doing with my time? I have been super busy running around like a chicken with her head cut off trying to get everything I can done before Mikelle arrives. Lysoling, painting, organizing rooms to tear them apart and start over. Im realizing that I will not be able to get much done for a long time. Partially because she will be a c-section and I physically will not be able to. Then add a new born and a 2 yr old to the mix and thats having your hands full. I must say tho I have been getting a lot of projects done. All the baby stuff is ready (including hospital bag with cute outfits for every day there and matching hair accessories) so i have to find something to do with my time while I wait impatiently :)
