NOTE: This is somewhat of a dear diary moment.

So how have we been? Were alright. Kirsten has croup. Its not good. Nothing is helping and every night is like a night from hell. She has difficulty breathing, but not quite enough to take her to the E.R., she coughs until she throws up. Even with all the breathing treatments, taking her outside to get in cool air ( croup causes lung swelling or something), humidifiers, NOTHING is working! I cant help her. Its the most frustrating feeling in the world because you know there has to be something! ANYTHING that can help her and I cant do it.

To top it off with Kirsten's results came back with her speech evaluation. She scored low on everything 6% and 8% on 1 test. as low as 17 months on another and -2 on one where the standard would be 0. I feel like Ive done everything and nothing is helping her. It makes me feel like a failure. I looked into getting her into a second speech therapy through our insurance and their is only one place in the area that our insurance will take and its got a waiting list that can take up to 7 months. I feel angry that her doctor didn't noticed she had a ton of water in her ears that wasn't able to drain. That he wasn't able to see she needed ear tubes a year ago, but instead was so fast to jump to speech therapy. Which cant help if she cant hear correctly! I think we have a good doctor and I appreciate what he does for our family, I just wish that this situation wasn't happening.

Kirsten is still doing her preschool and she loves it. She has fun doing the crafts most I think. But likes being around the other kids also. She can make some beautiful pictures. She gets excited when we go home and display her artwork on the fridge.

Mikelle however is doing amazing. She walks. She is talking now too. Which also makes it a lot more obvious that Kirsten is still behind with her speech. Mikelle can say mama, Dada, cracker, dog, goo gu (good girl), yuck, and one more that I cant remember at the moment. Mikelle is crazy advanced in everything!

I am thankful for my girls, my husband, and all of our family and friends. We have a great support system. Im thankful that everybody is healthy well Kirsten has croup , but its not life threatening. Im thankful That I have freedom of religion. For the opportunity to believe go to church. Im thankful for all the good people in our lives that are willing to help us. I know that we are very fortunate.

I hosted a preschool where the kids all got to play an instrument and we made a preschool abc band lol It was... loud. :) We sang ABC, twinkle twinkle, and lots of nursery rhymes.

I cut Dustins hair for school. It was pretty darn good if I say so myself. Normally you can just look at my hair/school projects on facebook. But I thought I did pretty good. Wanted to show u!

I thought I'd do more than 1 post to shake things up a bit.

Sometimes I feel like I have to write these big massive definitions or explanations of what we did when people come visit us. But I'm just going to say it how it is. We had a lot of great people who we love and they love us come to visit and spend time with us.

Remember a long time ago when I posted a picture of Mikelle with her cousin once removed... Well here they are again. Dustins grandparents and nephew got to visit for thanksgiving.We celebrated Christmas with my Dad's side of the family over Thanksgiving break. It was nice to spend time with everyone. All in all Im thankful for all the family that we have. I'm grateful we got to spend time with a lot of our family members of the Thanksgiving holiday.
