All about Kirsten

Kirsten had a speech therapy appointment. I spent the last 3 days worrying about it. Worrying that they were going to tell me there was something wrong with her, that they would think she is slow, or maybe they would think I was a bad mom and that I dont encourage her to speak or read to her.

First off Kirsten is not slow. She can do everything kids her age can. She is completely normal but she doesnt talk. She says a few words but not what she should be.
I read to Kirsten all the time. Here favorite book is brown bear brown bear, I recently hid it so that she would get interested in other books. I also just went to the library book sale and got a ton of books for super cheap, so we will have lots more fun books to read.
We havent been social recently with the new baby. It felt like the whole world was sick for a while there. So we avoided leaving the house at all costs. But I am starting to venture out with her to play dates and we are going to start going back to story time at the library.

So back to the therapy... How did it go? Well, the lady came and guess what... she did NOTHING! Apparently today was paperwork day. All we did was fill out paper work. Next Wednesday they are going to have a meeting then get back to me to schedule a time to set up the evaluation. great... now I just get to worry all over again.

Other than that we havent been up to a whole lot. We had a playdate. Kirsten is now the girl that mauls all the other children and wants to give them hugs and knock them over... she must be super excited to see other kids after being quarantined lol

Speaking of mauling, Kirsten is also starting to worry me when it comes to Mikelle. Kirsten loves her sister ssoooooo much. TOO MUCH! I cant keep her away from Mikelle. I literally have to take the baby with me to the bathroom. Kirsten trys to hold the baby by herself, trys to pick her up, drag her across the floor, anything! She also tries to unbuckle the bouncer, when she cant unbuckle it, she knocks the whole thing over with Mikelle inside. I know what you are thinking, "You just need to watch her" I DO. She doesnt listen and it doesnt take long. Kirsten will even literally try to pull the baby out of my arms! I have to hold the baby all day or put her in her pack and play. I cant let her have tummy time or trust to put Mikelle down without Kirsten being buckled in her highchair or nap/quiet time. Our house is messy because its to hard to clean it with a baby in your arms 24/7. Its really starting to worry me. I am scared Mikelle is going to get hurt.

Here is a photo of Kirsten holding Mikelle with mommy's permission.
Kirsten playing in the pillows. She loves our bed for some reason.
Funny picture she is telling me something important but I dont know what
